Compartmentalized Intellitank

The advancement of the compartmentalized tank provides physical separation of the medias, allowing the Revolution Series to perform the same purification work of much larger multi-tank systems in a space-saving, more efficient, single-tank design.

Physically separating the media improves each layer’s contaminant removal performance, extends the life of the primary filtering resin, and helps to eliminate water channeling, or uneven water flow, through the system. In order to replicate similar filtering performance, competitive products would require multiple tanks, significantly increasing both up-front and operational costs.

• More economical and more efficient
• Decreased water usage
• Increases media efficiency to remove contaminants
• Increased longevity of filtering medias
• Ability to exchange media without affecting other media

Innovative Lift-and-Spin

Water passes through hundreds of distributor channels at a 45° angle, creating the lift-and-spin motion that more effectively moves water throughout the media bed – a process called fluidization –  cleansing the media more thoroughly, faster, and conserving more water than with a standard tank. A self-cleaning nozzle design in both the mid- and bottom distributor plates eliminates potential clogging, ensuring ongoing optimum performance.

Reverse-Flow Brining

To cleanse the media of the contaminants that were removed from the water on its way into the home, the system reverses the water flow direction from top-down to bottom-up. This reverse-flow brining pushes salinated water from the bottom of the tank through the lower distributor plate. Flow channels are specifically aligned and angled to disperse water evenly throughout the media bed in a lift-and-spin motion, maximizing regeneration efficiency and effectiveness.

Renewable Resource Derived Carbon

The Revolution Series refiner removes chlorine and unpleasant tastes and odors with a cleaner, higher capacity, longer lasting carbon derived from renewable coconut shells.

Bacteriostat 55

Bacteriostat 55 is a patented media that controls scale, bacteria, fungi and algae. It is capable of removing up to 99% of water-soluble lead, mercury, nickel, chromium, and other dissolved metals. The science behind this patented media is impressive. It creates an electrochemical reaction solution, known as redox, which transfers electrons between molecules, thus creating new molecules. Some harmful contaminants are changed into harmless components. Free chlorine, for instance, is changed into benign, water-soluble chloride.

BlackCat® Ion Exchange Media

BlackCat® ion exchange media is a proprietary engineered synthetic resin that is made up of small beads that are electrically charged to attract positively charged ions from your water. These beads continuously attract hardness ions such as calcium and magnesium from your water and exchanges sodium ions in return. This stage removes undesirable hardness ions and reduces clear water iron. Hardness ions interfere with the action of soaps, build up lime scale deposits which can foul plumbing, shorten the life of water-using appliances, etch glass, stemware and flatware, stain fixtures and faucets and accelerate galvanic corrosion.
